Thank you to Star Bright Books for the opportunity to review this book.
A few weeks ago, I reviewed a great lift-the-flap book by Katherine Rizzi called Are You My Baby? Rizzi has another fun lift-the-flap book for toddlers, Who Lives Here? In this book, toddlers are encouraged to guess each animal by where they live. Lifting the flap reveals the answer!
I read this book with my two year old son, and we had a really good time guessing each animal together. We only have dogs, so he wasn’t able to match everything on the first try. But that is okay! This book helped him learn about other kids of pets and where they live. Of course, that also lead to him asking for more pets…but I was able to deflect his requests! He loved the pictures of the animals, and seeing what was under the flaps. We ended up reading this book a few times!
Who Lives Here? is a great companion to Are You My Baby? and I would recommend both books for your young animal lover. Katherine Rizzi does a great job of teaching children through her books, in a way that is fun and easy to understand. I look forward to reading more of her books with my boys.
Who Lives Here? is a 24 page board book published by Star Bright Books.
I was provided with a digital copy of this book for review. All opinions expressed are my own.
